In DC, people brunch. Usually brunching is reserved for Sundays, but Kyle and I were going to be in Chapel Hill for the New Year and wanted to grab brunch with some friends before we hit the road. We went to Cramers and it was delicious and filling. Good news, we were not going to be hungry for a late lunch stop on the road. Bad news, we were both ready to crawl back into bed and take a nap. Nap time was out of the question, and if there was any doubt about that the energy Tubby greeted us with when we returned was the clear reminder. He loves car rides and could hardly contain his excitement when he realized he was going to be joining us, wherever it was that we were headed.
After attempting to climb into our seats for the first 20 minutes of the ride, Tubby settled into a comfortable position and serenaded us with his snoring the rest of the trip.
We have wonderful weather, and good friends waiting for us in Chapel Hill. See you next year, D.C.!
