Strap on your Fanny Pack

My Dad LOVES history, especially U.S. History, so he always has a field day when he comes to visit D.C. While I was at work Thursday and Friday, my parents took advantage of the good weather and walked around the National Mall. On Saturday after my race, we decided to check out GWU and Mount Vernon.

My parents wanted to get a look at where my second home will be the next few years, and it was fun exploring the campus.

From the University of George Washington to the home of George Washington....

After we finished buying out the GW bookstore (I have some shamelessly proud parents) we headed South to Mount Vernon to check out the old presidential estate. It was BEAUTIFUL.
