Total Body Medicine Ball Workout


Today's Workout: 45 min elliptical


I don't like a lot of clutter, and have no room or money for a home gym - so my workout equipment is really limited. I stick with a yoga mat, a stability ball, a medicine ball (10 lb), two sets of dumbbells (a 5lb and 10lb set) and of course - my running shoes. Here is a great routine to do with your medicine ball:

Squat with ball overhead - 3 sets of 20

Push-ups: 3 sets of 20 - 10 each side, one had on ball

Mountain climbers with hands on ball - 45 seconds

Russian twists for abs, tapping ball to each side - 30 taps each side

Throw and catch sit ups with ball and wall/partner (can do on stability ball or ground)- 3 sets of 20

Get your man in on the fun! A very similar workout to the one above can be found in men's health. If it helps grab their attention, mention this is used by the all-star studs on the UNC basketball team - definitely got my tar heel boy's ear up. Enjoy!
